I love redecorating. I do it probably more than I should! I just love the feeling of satisfaction you get from seeing it all come together, piece by piece.

I have a lot of love for each of the stores and sites I pulled from for this post.

1. My beloved Urban Outfitters. Your one stop shop for almost everything you need. These woven banners are too cool. I have a vintage woven banner from my grandma and I am sure she would get along very well with these beauties. (The banners…and my grandma!)

2. Target did not disappoint this season. There is a lot of white and woven going on there. This bench would be perfect at your desk or nested under your side table to use at a footrest when you’re lounging. Don’t you love it?

3. If you’re brave enough to make the trek to Ikea, then this lamp should be on your list. It’s difficult to see in my photo, but it has copper detailing on the top and bottom, with exposed wire covers in a dark grey. Even better? It’s name is actually pronounceable! It’s called the “Ranarap.”

4. We love a good cactus. But we really love a good cactus in a sweet skull planter. Etsy, get down with your bad self!

5. Another Etsy treasure is this raw, hammered copper business card holder. Think about how amazing your business cards would look in your home office?

The thing I love most about these items is their versatility and ability to transcend the seasons. Add pops of color with fresh flowers and you’re ready to go for spring and summer!

CV + CV :: Bar Cart

Over the weekend I went to my favorite antiques and primitives shop in Arlington. It is truly a gem.

We’ve been looking for the perfect coffee table and I thought this would be just the place. It is definitely the right place – but we didn’t end up with a table this time.

We all know bar carts are totally trending right now and we found the perfect one for us. Brightly colored and the perfect size. Get out of town!

We already had these Pantone glasses from Anthropologie (they don’t have them anymore, but these are a super fun alternative!) All the bottles fit perfectly on the bottom shelf because it was slightly bigger than the top. Word of advice, if I may. We had a smaller bar cart previously but it didn’t have a lip on the edge and I was always so worried the glasses and bottles would fall off. That fear is no more! I found that black and white canister at the same little shop. Too perfect right?

My favorite is this retro coffee pot that we’re currently using to hold some bright yellow tulips and billies 🙂 And finally…I just couldn’t resist…

CV + CV :: Back in Action // Thanksgiving

Hello again!

Sorry about the delay in updates, we’ve been a little (too) busy the past couple of days…weeks? No, months. It’s been some of this and some of that, but we’re back and ready to rock and roll.

We hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday! We definitely did. Since we’re still newlyweds, we are getting used to splitting up the holidays between our two families.

There is never enough time with each of them.

The good news? Having two Thanksgivings was double the food and double the fun! My parents had the traditional turkey, cornbread stuffing and cranberry sauce.

But Claudio’s family had an assortment of tamales, enchiladas, rice and beans!

It was really nice to mix things up a bit and really enjoy our own cultures, together.

Thanksgiving is probably my second favorite holiday, behind Valentines Day. This year is a year for changes, new traditions and growing as a family. I am especially thankful this year for everyone in our life.

We have been in a music festivals going-baby shower planning-house hunting-new chapter in our lives whirlwind! It is a very exciting time to be a part of.

CV + CV :: Foxy // Trending

With each new season comes new trends and quirks. New little treasures to place around the house and quirky outfits that make you smile. I can say wholeheartedly that fall is my favorite season. It’s when the leaves turn amber shades, when family comes together and on a personal note, it always makes me nostalgic for when I fell in love with my husband.

This year, my favorite trend is anything fox related.

I love their pouffy little tails, the orangey color of their fur and the little heart shaped noses. I just love all the things! I’ve picked out some of my favorites for this season.

How about this foxy man from Etsy shop Chasing the Crayon? I just want to cuddle with him! Her whole shop if full of whimsy and precious prints. I want them all!

How about this cozy sweater from Urban Outfitters? I want to pair it with leggings, boots and a big scarf! (Check out ways to tie a scarf from TPA in related articles!)

Wouldn’t this rug from Anthro be just precious? Picture it now! I see it in my entry way welcoming everyone that comes through our door.

Bonjour beautiful people!

Recently, we have had some questions as to why we started our blog. Right now it is evident, blogs are booming in the universe. Most can be considered Lifestyle Blogs. These are sites that dive into a wide variety of topics. DIY, fashion, recipes, photography, etc… Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess do a fabulous job at giving their followers a peak into their lives. You feel like you know them. One of my dearest friends, Brittany, has started That’s Pretty Ace. A blog full of clean lines and pictures perfect.

The goal of our little bloghome is to inspire you. Inspire you to create with your hands, travel the world, love freely and give often. We have a passion for living and making our universe a happier place to live.

Selfishly, this is a creative outlet. Most of our days we aren’t living up to our full creative potential but with this blog we get a little closer to reaching a happy medium between reality and dreams.

CV + CV :: Turn Table // REdecorate

One of my passions is redecorating.

I love decorating, too. But redecorating is my favorite. I enjoy taking things that I already own and putting them together in new ways. Moving trinkets from one room to the next and giving them new life! It’s like going shopping…but it’s free.

We picked out our harvest table at a thrift store and it’s the best find in the world. It has these two amazing chairs and a fabulous bench. YES, I said bench. I could just stare at it all day. Not to mention, CV1 and I carried it up to our third floor apartment all by ourselves.

When you walk in the door to our happy little place, you are greeted by our dining room. Complete with record player and mini bar set up.

Our table was first decorated with some dishes we received from the wedding and a recurring fresh flower bouquet. Which, was beautiful. But I am a fan of change and there comes a time when I am just dying for a new look.

Inspired by a photo from A Beautiful Mess blog, I used some of our engagement pictures (via Taylor Lord) and put them in jars-for-frames.

We usually eat in the living room…so the table gets to be a work of art. Obsessed.

I encourage you to to walk around your home and find things that speak to you. Help give your once loved treasures new life.
